5 Paid Social updates for December 2021

I wanted to give a bit of an update on what’s been happening in our team over the last month. As many of you know, and I’m sure everyone’s feeling it, it’s the busiest month of the year. There has been a lot of movement in our team and with our customers.

1. Black Friday Results

Across the board, we saw really strong results. I have to admit, I was a bit panicked with the iOS update and did not understand the full impact on Black Friday, but I’m happy to say that we still saw really strong results for our customers across the board.

The key thing that we noticed was that there was no strong peak, but with most customers, campaigns were launched earlier.

And so it was a gradual growth without having very high revenue coming in on specific days.

I think the key takeaway for next year would be to review when to launch Black Friday campaigns. It seems like this is the most important part. As well as thinking about when Black Friday actually falls and how to encourage people to buy around payday.

2. Facebook

We recently had a QBR (Quarterly Business Review) with Facebook, and I’m so thrilled with the results that we’re seeing across the board.

Last quarter, we saw a 69% year on year growth and this quarter we saw 39%. We know that in Q3 usually, you won’t expect the highest growth. So we are over the moon with 39% growth.

We’re also very happy to say that we’ll be hosting a customer event in January for all our existing customers, where we are going to deep dive into campaign consolidation, how to restructure full scale and how to run Facebook differently for the future.

3. TikTok Case Studies

This is one I’m particularly proud of because, throughout the last year, we’ve tried really hard to get TikTok to work; and we ended the year with two amazing case studies where we’ve seen TikTok outperform Facebook. This is really key for our team as we try to move away from being reliant on one channel.

What we’ve learned is that with TikTok, it is key that you have a very short customer journey, and it mainly drives sign-ups. So for customers running sign-up or registration campaigns, they work incredibly well.

4. Team Growth

So we had a really successful graduate recruitment day earlier this month.  We found some amazing candidates that will be starting with us next year.

Finding the right people is key to helping the team grow to where we need to be!

5. Planning for 2022

We will be looking to schedule a meeting with every customer to take them through a growth plan that will be personalised to their business needs.

We’re really excited about this because ultimately our goal is to help businesses grow and help them to solve problems. So we’ll bring the trends and we expect all customers to share their biggest dreams with us next year, so we can help achieve them.

As always, as we draw to the close of the year is always the time to reflect. I have to say this year brought a lot of change and I’m so incredibly proud of the team that not only did they manage to overcome every obstacle, but also manage to make it a year to remember.

I’m so incredibly excited for next year, as we’re looking to launch several new products and also grow the team even further.
