Join us as we celebrate International Women's Day by sharing the powerful stories of the women at Push. Their experiences of overcoming challenges and making their mark are inspiring.

Through their journeys, we see the importance of inclusion and the strength it brings to everyone. In this blog we honour their achievements and learn how we can all contribute to a more equal and empowering workplace. #InspireInclusion

As we approach International Women's Day, the theme #InspireInclusion resonates deeply at Push. As the People & Culture Director, I've had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible journeys of the women who power organisations.

The women who power push are testaments to resilience, ambition, and the transformative power of inclusion. We want to showcase some of those women and their experiences. These are not just individual tales; they offer invaluable insights on fostering a workplace where every woman feels included, valued, empowered, and able to thrive. By highlighting their struggles, triumphs, and unique perspectives on inclusion, we aim to inspire and empower not just ourselves but women and all that are celebrating International Women’s Day.

We will be celebrating across the week. Stay tuned for daily posts and be ready to be moved by their journeys and inspired to create a truly inclusive space where every woman can reach their full potential. Let's celebrate their stories, learn from their wisdom, and together, #InspireInclusion.

I have always had fear of not being accepted for who I am in new environments - whether that be moving to a new city, country, or workplace; stemming from my previous experiences.

On top of that, coming from a completely different career and educational background, I thought there is no way a corporate digital marketing (let alone true creative department) would accept my CV detailing my experience engineering microorganisms & recombinant DNA would call me for an interview!

It has only been just over 3 months since I began my journey as a Pushling, but I do feel the sense of belonging in the company where you are respected based on your true values and the skills you have brought to the department.

Because I have experienced imposter syndrome first hand, and felt the cultural and racial rejection growing up, I feel strongly towards inclusion and diversity. It is wonderful to see diverse backgrounds coming together to achieve the common goal in the workplace, and what’s more forming an everlasting bond which I am sure will be cherished even outside of Push (aka retirement).

I firmly believe that women are capable of achieving anything they set their minds to, and this mindset has grown from being raised in a single parent house-hold by my amazing mother!

At Push, I've experienced firsthand the company's commitment to inclusivity and support for women in the workplace. Surrounded by women leaders, managers and motivators- I feel a sense of equality and motivation that pushes me forward in my career journey.

Personally, I would like to think I contribute to fostering an inclusive environment by adhering to the principle of treating everyone with equal respect and dignity, regardless of their gender, age, or job title. Feeling included to me means that my voice and opinions matter, irrespective of any external factors, and that they are listened to and respected by all members of the company.

A current social media trend I LOVE currently is ‘how hard can it be, boys do it’- which I hope is motivating women of all ages to step out of their comfort zone and try something new!

Jasmeen - Content Producer

As a South Asian woman navigating the corporate world, my journey has been a rollercoaster of success and challenges. Being the first in my family to attend university and the eldest of three daughters, every step forward has felt like breaking new ground. In an industry where both South Asian and female representation are sparse, imposter syndrome has often crept in, but it's only fuelled my determination to push harder.

My work is not just a job; it's a source of pride, with diversity at its core. Every project I undertake is a tribute to the representation my younger self wished had been present. When building my team, diversity isn't just a checkbox; it's a fundamental consideration.

At Push, I experience a level of recognition and validation unlike anything I've known before. It's a place that not only acknowledges but celebrates my unique identity. I'm part of a team where my ideas aren't just welcomed; they're amplified. I'm entrusted to lead and innovate in my role as Creative Producer, ensuring that each project reflects the vibrant tapestry of our world.

In this environment, my voice carries weight, and my presence matters. It's a validation that goes beyond words.

Balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship is no easy feat, yet so many amazing women do it every day. As a working mum of 3 and business owner myself, I’ve experienced both the challenges and rewards of juggling a career and family. Of course it can be stressful and tiring at times, but it’s also really fulfilling to show my children that women can have it all, successful businesses & happy families!

The daily juggle of business errands, deadlines and diapers may not always be easy, but it certainly teaches resilience, time management & the power of perseverance! For International Women’s Day this year, I celebrate all the women around the world. We multitask better than anyone, juggle a million different responsibilities and still find time to nurture the next generation!

As we close our celebration of International Women's Day, let's remember the inspiring stories from Push. The experiences of myself, Sofia, Rhianon, Jasmeen, and Anisha teach us about the power of coming together and creating a workplace where everyone feels valued. Their stories aren't just for today; they're a guide for how we can support and uplift each other every day. Let's keep working to make our spaces welcoming for all.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can make a real difference. #InspireInclusion
